POEM

I AM

I am all I hear
I hear the art table creaking loudly.
I hear the door thudding as it open's and closes.
I hear Ashleigh yawning, tired , from a late night.

I see
I see the rugby balls waiting to be kicked.
I see the tennis net in the hot sun
I see the thick dogs barking at each other.

I remember
I remember the sweet taste of chocolate milk
I remember the smell of cow pee in the shed
I remember the taste of the sea.

I am all I am
I am a daughter to a lovely Dad and Mum
I am a sister to three lovely brothers.
